Ben Hayes is the Broker & Owner of BH Real Estate, bringing a personalized, client-first approach to buying and selling property. Since earning his real estate license in 2023, Ben has focused on land and acreage sales, while also offering valuable insight into the Lake Panorama real estate market through his lifelong connection to the area.
Originally from the Lake Panorama and Panora community, Ben grew up in the area and currently lives just west of town. His deep local roots and firsthand knowledge of the lake lifestyle, surrounding neighborhoods, and agricultural properties give clients a unique advantage when buying or selling real estate throughout Lake Panorama, Panora, Guthrie County, and beyond.
Ben earned a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from University of Northern Iowa in 2013 and a Master’s degree in Business from Iowa State University in 2017.
Before entering real estate, Ben spent more than 11 years as a Construction Project Manager in the Des Moines area, where he built a reputation for organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
In addition to his real estate career, Ben is actively involved in his family’s farming operation, which includes cattle and row crop production — giving him firsthand knowledge of agricultural land and rural assets.
Ben is deeply committed to his community and volunteers extensively, serving with the Panora Fire Department, Panora Chamber, Panora Area Development Group, and several other local organizations. With his strong professional background, local expertise, and detail-oriented approach, Ben is a trusted resource for real estate asset planning, strategic decision-making, and successful transactions.
